Having graduated from the Brit School in 2011 London based singer song writer Shan Ako has taken the British music scene by storm. This highly acclaimed Singer, Songwriter, live performer and Guitarist recently shot to stardom after reaching the X Factor finals in 2018.

After gaining a degree in Music Business Shan went on developing her talents through theatre & stage.  Shan’s desire for music was well established from her time at the Brit school and with the influences from Soul, Gospel, Pop, R&B, Jazz, Folk & Reggae she had begun releasing her own produced music as a teenager.  She has gone on to develop and hone her love for music, which is the driving force behind all that she accomplishes.

As well as her X factor experience and being mentored by Simon Cowell Shan has gained exceptional credit and performance experience over her career including performing at the Pre-Mobo Awards at Cadogan Hall, the Barbican for the London Jazz Festival and winning the Project Aloft Star (emerging artist competition run by Starwood Hotel Group & BBC Radio 1 DJs).

She has also toured the UK & Europe in Theatre Productions, playing the leading role, in Whitney Queen Of The Night and most recently taking a role in the renowned London’s West End show Les Miserables Musical at the Sondheim Theatre.

From performing with High On Heels at home and abroad- London, Ibiza and Brussels to her X Factor success Shan Ako has gone on to build on her success and superior singing talent. She has gained continued support from legends in the music industry – to a growing loyal fanbase.

Shan has still so much more to come.  She has several new music releases and continues to share her musical talents live on stage,  inspiring many globally with her beautiful gift.
